Jones Financial (Edward Jones)

Headquartered in St. Louis, the privately owned financial services firm serves nearly seven million investors across the U.S. and Canada. Its better-known subsidiary Edward Jones employs more than 19,000 financial advisors, with client assets in the company’s care totaling $1.2 trillion. The company offers wealth management services; retirement and college savings products; stocks, bonds, and mutual funds; insurance and annuities; cash and credit services; and planning and expense management for business owners. Founded in 1922 by its eponymous founder, the brokerage firm now counts 14,200 branches in all 50 U.S. states, unified by a company-wide training program that its advisors—who come from a range of career backgrounds, from engineering to education to banking—must complete.
