International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) is a chemicals manufacturer that creates flavors, fragrances, and specialty ingredients used in food, beverages, personal care, and pharmaceuticals. Tracing its roots back to 1889, when Josef Polak and Leopold Schwarz created Polak & Schwarz, a producer of fruit flavors and oil essences, IFF now does business in 65 countries. Since breaking its Nourish group into two parts, the company operates through five segments: taste, food ingredients, health & biosciences, scent, and pharma solutions.
