Employees say: "The entire team makes you feel welcome, as if you have just walked in the door at a family reunion. As if they've known you forever. There is ample training, and the ability to reach out just in case there is an item you don't understand. The company celebrates all wins across the board, and like they say, 'There's no win too small, or too big.' I received everything I could have needed before my official start date, and in addition, a fun welcome package as well with some adorable swag. It just feels good to be a part of a team like the one at IHG."

Employees say:
"I am most proud to work for IHG when I describe how our company treated employees, owners, and guests during the pandemic. Transparent and open communication, genuine care for employees, and financial and emotional support for our well-being."

Employees say:
"I like that this company allows for you to be yourself and encourages you to be as authentic as possible when working. It really allows people to feel more comfortable with themselves and with the company as a whole because you can express yourself (professionally of course) and your thoughts without fear of judgement or retaliation. People of all kinds of ethnicities, backgrounds, LGBTQ+ status, etc. work hand in hand to help make this company the powerhouse that it is."

Mentoring is an important part of the IHG employee experience; members of any of the company’s nearly 30 employee resource groups are welcome to match with a more senior mentor for a seven-month program. Of the more than 300 participants in 2022, over 70% were female. And the relationship goes both ways: IHG also hosts a reverse mentorship program, where leadership is partnered with lower-level managers to gain insight into different areas of the business. The program has resulted in a 90% satisfaction rating and over 90 hours of mentoring discussions.
Recognizing that the hospitality industry in particular has been plagued by incidences of human trafficking, IHG has taken an active stance on human rights, offering staff a course on the subject, partnering with global organizations, and donating $500,000 to the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Survivor Fund.
IHG keeps detailed data on its Giving for Good service initiative, and winning teams and individuals can earn rewards points for a stay at one of IHG’s hotels. In 2022, teams helped over 100,000 people, collected 2,900 bags of trash, donated 1,400 pints of blood, and planted 1,600 trees.

Employees say:
"The leadership of this company is unified in its direction, initiatives, and anticipated results. IHG does a great job in cascading expectations and results to all team members. I have a long tenure with IHG and believe this company is stronger, healthier, and more focused than it has ever been in the past."
