A health insurance company, Humana is one of the largest administrators of Medicare Advantage, a U.S. government program that provides health care to older Americans via private insurers. Humana plans are available in nearly 3,000 U.S. counties, the most of any Medicare Advantage provider. Humana also runs state-based Medicaid plans for lower-income Americans; CenterWell primary care centers for seniors; as well as home health and hospice businesses.
