Hon Hai Precision Industry is better known as Foxconn, the name it uses outside China/Taiwan. Hon Hai is the world’s largest electronics contract manufacturer, and one of its largest employers. Its business is divided into four segments: consumer electronics, cloud and networking, computing products and components, and others. Hon Tai manufactures about 70% of Apple’s iPhones, and assembles products for Microsoft, Amazon, and others. Founded in 1974, Hon Hai began trading publicly in 1991.
