Lichenstein-based Hilti Group designs and manufactures technologies and services for the construction industry, but it also prides itself on designing and delivering impactful careers for its 18,270 European employees. A strengths-based focus to personal development aims to bring out the full potential of each individual through training, mentoring and exploration of how skills might be leveraged in various roles. Every year the company hosts 2,000 workshops across the world to facilitate knowledge-sharing, brainstorming and team connection. Employee-led groups centered around topics such as gender networks, mental health, LGBTQ+, race and ethnicity, environment and sustainability aim to encourage equity and inclusion, too.

Hilti provides construction equipment and software, and focuses on ensuring that its employees can develop and grow within the company. In February, the company released a new exoskeleton product to reduce strain on workers who wield heavy tools, which the company said gives the worker a “zero-gravity-like state.” One of Hilti’s workshops, called “Hiring the Best People,” teaches interviewing techniques, fair hiring practices, and employment laws to recruitment employees. New hiring managers, recruiters, talent sourcers, and employees involved in the hiring process are required to attend the training.
