Hilcorp, founded in 1989, is the country’s largest privately owned oil and natural gas producer, and rises seven spots from the previous year’s list. The company has been bridging gaps in its representation—women make up 22% of its executive and C-level managers, and comprise 26% of its senior leader positions. The company also began improving benefits in 2022, launching focus groups with more than 600 employees to gauge helpful additions.
