Groupe BPCE, based in Paris, was established in 2009 following the merger of two retail-focused French cooperative banking and insurance networks, Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne, both with roots dating to the 19th century. While maintaining its strong retail banking presence, the group also operates globally through Natixis Investment Managers for asset and wealth management, and Natixis CIB for corporate and investment banking services.
