Leaf Li, a former Tencent employee, founded Futu Holdings in 2011, which now offers digital brokerage and wealth management services in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Japan, Canada and the U.S. The company reported $400.7 million in revenue in Q2 2024, a 25.9% jump, as well as 23.3 million users. In August, Futu began to offer crypto trading services to users in Hong Kong and Singapore. And in November, Futu offered new HK-based users a reward: $77 of bitcoin, a $50 supermarket voucher, or 0.5 shares of Nvidia.
