As one of the largest delivery services companies in the U.S., FedEx has employed thousands of workers on the front lines of the pandemic. To support them, the company debuted a new health care advocate program called Choose Well Care Connect, which provides those workers with a single point of contact whenever they have a health care need, helping them navigate a complex system of vendors. It’s also made 24/7 confidential counseling available to all employees, eligible dependents, and household members, even if they aren’t actively participating in the plan. The company facilitates career advancement through the FedEx Learning Center, which offers over 25,000 online courses; Aspire, which provides hourly employees access to experiential learning, coaching, and development opportunities; and direct tuition assistance for higher education. “I greatly appreciate the mentoring and guidance the managers at FedEx offer to everyone,” says one staffer. “I feel there is a sense of caring from management to their employees.”
