Exelon, one of the nation’s largest utility services companies, serves more than 10.7 million customers through six transmission and distribution utilities—Atlantic City Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power, PECO, and PEPCO. The company purchases and sells electricity and natural gas to retail customers. It serves residential, commercial, industrial, governmental, and transportation customers, as well as public authorities and electric railroads. Exelon, which has 20,000 employees, was incorporated in 1999.
