Edison International, a public utility holding company, is the parent company of Southern California Edison (SCE). It generates and distributes electric power, energy services, and renewable energy, serving approximately 15 million people within about 50,000 square miles in California. SCE operates an infrastructure that includes approximately 125,000 circuit miles of distribution and bulk transmission lines and 1.4 million power poles. It has a stated goal of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 95% between 2005 and 2045. Edison International's other subsidiary, Trio, was formerly named Edison Energy and is an advisory company that helps other organizations navigate sustainability and clean energy transition goals and requirements.
