Ecolab provided its expertise in water technology and digital monitoring solutions to Moeve, a leading Madrid-based energy company, to develop a circular recycling system, lowering water use at San Roque Energy Park, a refining, chemical, and biofuel production hub in southern Spain. The system sends a reusable stream back into San Roque’s operations by means of a membrane water system, ultrafiltration, and specialized chemistry. The collaboration between Moeve and Ecolab reduced fresh-water intake, and the San Roque lab was able to recycle up to 317 million gallons of water per year and cut down on exposure to risks from drought.
