Germany’s Deutsche Telekom is the largest telecoms company in Europe, with a market capitalization considerably in excess of rivals Telefónica, Orange, BT and Vodafone combined. It has a dominant position in its primary market, Germany, and a strong presence across central and Eastern Europe and the United States, where its US subsidiary T-Mobile merged with Sprint in 2020. Globally, Deutsche Telekom has over 250 million mobile customers, and operates 22 million broadband lines. The Bonn-headquartered group also has a substantial, global business-to-business operation leveraging its infrastructure, with services in growth areas like cloud storage and data centers, cybersecurity, the internet of things and digital transformation.
