America’s largest privately held single-family homebuilder rose to the occasion during the pandemic, giving its “team members” the help and support they needed at a difficult time. The company provided employees with three additional days of paid time off in 2020; those who were uncomfortable working during the pandemic were allowed to take an extended leave of absence, with half their base salary covered for up to one month and their full health benefits covered for up to three months. “I really don’t see how any other company like ours stepped up for its team members and customers, to feel safe [while] working here or visiting a model home,” one employee notes.
