Swiss property and casualty insurer Chubb said it had its “best financial performance” ever in 2022, with $43.2 billion in revenue, a 5.4% increase from the previous year. Net profit for the year fell 37.8% to $5.3 billion, largely due to mark-to-market impacts on partially-owned private equities, while operating profit rose.

As a result, nearly a fifth of the group’s revenues now come from Asia, which it has identified as a key growth region, although the U.S. remains its primary market.</li>
