Founded by Ernest Garcia III, Ryan Keeton, and Ben Huston in 2012, Carvana set out to “change the way people buy cars.” The company operates an e-commerce platform for buying and selling used cars in the U.S. and, with its subsidiaries, offers related services including inspection and reconditioning, financing, and auction sites. Carvana debuted its distinctive car vending machine in Nashville in 2015, and now operates almost 40 of the glass towers showcasing its cars. Since launching in 2013, more than 4 million customers have chosen its automotive e-commerce experience to shop, sell, finance, and trade in vehicles entirely online.
