The business provides customized solutions for hospitals, health care systems, pharmacies, surgery centers, clinical laboratories, and patients at home. The medical giant distributes generic and specialty pharmaceuticals, as well as medical, surgical, and laboratory products. Cardinal Health’s history dates back to 1971, in its founding as Cardinal Foods; in 1979, the company switched industries from food to health care, changing its name to Cardinal Distribution.
