A family-owned oceanfront resort around since 1896, the Breakers Palm Beach takes a “holistic” approach to employee wellness. To provide on-site dental care to employees, the Breakers hosts Jet Dental’s mobile service to provide cleanings, X-rays, and nonessential dental treatments to all staff and their spouses. The Florida company also has an on-site wellness clinic for biometric screenings, health coaching, flu vaccines, and COVID testing, among other services.
In May 2023, the Breakers launched a Workplace English as a Second Language training for all employees as part of its diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives; participating staffers take classes for two hours a week for eight weeks during paid work time.
Community outreach programs include a partnership with Step Up For Students. The Breakers sponsored $1.4 million of scholarships for 200 K-12 students in 2023, administered through Step Up For Students.

This is the first year that The Breakers Palm Beach has been on the Best Companies list.
- Wellness is a priority for The Breakers team, and leadership implemented a program at the staff's request called My Bio, which incentivizes employees to achieve their personal wellness goals.
- The Breakers also started a wellness program specifically geared toward people of color on staff, as research showed those communities were less engaged with the existing wellness programs.
- 96% of employees are proud to tell others they work at The Breakers.
