In June 2021, Baptist Health South Florida hired its first-ever chief well-being officer, a symbol of the organization’s ongoing efforts to promote mental health and prevent burnout. Baptist Health encourages work/life balance via a wide range of scheduling options that includes compressed workweeks, job sharing, and self-scheduling. The Pineapple Proud + Strong Kindness Campaign let employees send one another motivational stories and photos as a means of boosting morale during the pandemic.
