Founded in 2015 as a luggage brand, Away has since set its sights on a broader suite of products for the travel industry. The New York-based company, which sells suitcases priced between $195 and $600, was cofounded by former Warby Parker employees Jen Rubio and Steph Korey. Investors including Wellington Management Company, Lone Pine Capital, and Global Founders Capital have put more than $180 million into the company, valuing it at more than $1 billion.
