Asbury Automotive Group is one of the largest car retailers in the U.S., selling and servicing nearly three dozen automobile brands. As of 2025, it operates over 150 new vehicle dealerships across 14 states. It also operates an online car-buying platform and a vehicle protection provider. The company was founded in 1990, but has recently embarked on major acquisitive growth with the purchase of several billion-dollar automotive groups, including the Herb Chambers Companies and the Jim Koons Automotive Companies.
