A-Mark Precious Metals is a precious metals trading company that operates as a platform for buying, selling, and distributing gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and copper bullion alongside rare, antique, and collectible coins and products. A-Mark was founded in 1965 and was the first company permitted to sell coins from metals discovered in the British cargo steamship that sank in the Battle of the Atlantic in 1941 and was packed with silver bullion, SS Gairsoppa. The company is an authorized purchaser for the U.S. Mint, and distributes other sovereign mints from Australia, Canada, China, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
