"Shawmut prides itself on being a company that provides support to its employees. At no point in time have I ever felt that I couldn't ask to rest of my team for help, assistance or even to take over some of my responsibilities while I handle a family issue. We as a team make sure that every person on our site knows that we are all here to pitch in, no matter what. When one of us is knocked down by personal life situations, we let them handle it, take over their responsibilities, let them gather themselves and get back in the game with us. No one is left feeling like they abandoned the team or the job. There is zero animosity. I've NEVER worked for another company like that before' coming to Shawmut. I am very grateful for that.
"For a medium size company, you truly feel like you are able to make a difference. We celebrate big and small wins like a family. Work life balance is truly respected. I work part time from home because I have two young children and as long as my work is complete at a high level and my teams are happy, my manager gives me the freedom to work flexible hours and flexible location."
"Here I know I have every opportunity possible to learn, grow and if I choose to someday, lead. I am set up for success and supported every step of the way. We are all one team here and culture isn't just a term; it's our way of life. I am truly honored to work here!"
"The culture of care is real. I have young children and I have never once felt that I had to put my job before their care. Leadership is supportive of requests for hybrid work. And the ESOP truly makes employees feel like they are on a team eliminating most unhealthy competition. Employees happily jump in to help other teams when needed for the success of the company because it directly impacts our pockets through the ESOP."

"The level of care people give to their work, their dedication to the company, and their drive to try to make it a great place to work. I think being an ESOP is part of it, the ownership in the profit that comes along with being an ESOP, but on top of that I think the way we get together and celebrate wins/progress is a big part of it as well. We rally for each other, we rally for the company, we rally for our community."
