Atlassian’s Team Anywhere Lab helps global employees tailor workdays to meet their needs, as they determine whether to work in-person or remotely, or to start or end the day later based on personal factors. The provider of project management software donates 1% of its equity, profits, employee hours, and products to the Atlassian Foundation, which has donated more than $56 million and more than 230,000 volunteer hours. A good portion of this goes to Room to Read, a nonprofit supporting education for disadvantaged youth, but staff can choose which charitable organization they wish to donate their time and money to. 

Every employee receives 40 hours of paid volunteer leave annually, and the company matches donations of up to $1,000 per worker. Staff can nominate their peers in the Kudos program, which highlights employee achievement and issues gift-card awards to those selected.
