This is the 24th year on the list for Baptist Health South Florida, a health care chain that provides services in four counties in South Florida and through its online platform, the Baptist Health PineApp. The group provides treatments for cancer, cardiovascular complications, orthopedics, sports medicine, and neuroscience and employs over 4,000 doctors in 12 hospitals and 200 outpatient centers. In November, the group partnered with Florida International University and announced a collaboration to expand physician training, research, and patient care for South Florida communities. Its employees can access a scholarship program, which has awarded nearly $63 million since 2001, to over 5,000 employees who want to attend local universities or advance in the nursing field. Currently, 372 scholars are enrolled in the program. Baptist Health provided $478 million in total charity care and community benefit in fiscal year 2023. This reflects Baptist Health’s ongoing commitment to helping the communities we serve.
