Verne Kopytoff is a former senior editor at Fortune. He was previously a technology reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle and a contract reporter covering technology at the New York Times. He has also written for TIME and MIT Technology Review. He has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California and bachelor’s degrees in art and art history from the University of California at Riverside. He is based in San Francisco.
