Ellie Austin is the editorial director of Most Powerful Women at Fortune where she works across the magazine and conferences, interviewing the likes of former UK prime minister Theresa May, Lizzo, Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and Priscilla Chan. Before joining Fortune, Ellie was an editor of live journalism at The Wall Street Journal, where she regularly interviewed CEOs and entertainment personalities live onstage. She was also a writer and editor at The Sunday Times Magazine in London, where she wrote magazine features and profiled the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Roger Federer for cover stories. Ellie grew up in Jersey, Channel Islands, and graduated from Durham University, England, in modern languages. She lives in New York City.
