Banking veteran Joanne Rodrigues, who spent 18 years at CIMB and AmBank, became Affin Bank's group CFO in June 2020 from AmBank's wholesale banking arm. She is helping execute the AX28 transformation plan, which targets 1.8 billion ringgit in pre-tax profit by 2028. Affin's FY2025 net income hit a record 2.44 billion ringgit ($570 million), up 12.5%, lifting net profit 6% to 540 million ringgit ($125 million). The Sarawak state government is now Affin's largest shareholder, at 31%.
