Emily Hong led the team that set up Wiwynn in 2012 as a spinoff from Taiwan's Wistron, and has chaired the server maker since 2023. Wiwynn is now one of the biggest makers of Nvidia-powered AI servers, with more than 80% of sales going to U.S. customers such as Meta and Microsoft. Wiwynn opened its new Socorro, Texas, plant in September, and plans three more buildings there by 2028.
