Vanessa Hudson assumed the CEO role at Qantas just over a year ago when her predecessor, Alan Joyce, resigned amid a fake ticket scandal. Since taking over, Hudson has worked to restore the airline’s reputation. “Not only [did] we let our customers down, we let our people down,” Hudson said earlier this year. Hudson, who has spent three decades at the Australian airline, is guiding it through a profit decline as the travel industry adjusts in the wake of a post-COVID travel boom.
