Seon Hee Kim, CEO of Korean milk producer Maeil Dairies, faces an existential threat: South Korea's falling birth rate. The country has the world's lowest fertility rate, and fewer babies mean fewer customers for dairy products. But Kim isn't deterred and is instead looking for new opportunities, like encouraging older Koreans to increase their protein intake by drinking more milk. Maeil Dairies, founded in 1969, generated $1.4 billion in revenue in 2023.
