Square, the Jack Dorsey-led payments company, has hired Jacqueline Reses to lead Square Capital, the company’s business financing service. Square expects to make an initial public offering before the end of this year.

Reses comes from Yahoo, where she most recently served as chief development officer, focusing on revenue and product partnerships, strategic acquisitions, and operational and people transformation.

Reses joined Yahoo (YHOO) in 2012 and served on the board of Alibaba Group, the Chinese e-commerce company. Before Yahoo, she led the U.S. media group at Apax Partners, the private equity firm.

She’s not the only new hire for Square Capital. The company also picked up Henry Domenici, who leads Square Capital’s financing, from Morgan Stanley and Ted Kosev, who leads product management and operations, from Amazon.
