There’s been a lot of pop culture artifacts that have tried to explain what happened during the 2008 financial crisis; Margin Call, To Big to Fail and Up in the Air all spring to mind as example of films that have tried to show exactly what happened in America and around the world during those pivotal days and after.
I think I’ve found something that does it better than any of those, though; it doesn’t have George Clooney, or a big-name director, and it doesn’t take more than 10 seconds to get though. In fact, its not even a movie, its an eight-panel comic strip by Zach Weinersmith, published on his site “Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal” earlier this week:
