There’s a new book coming out this month about Tesla (TSLA) and SpaceX founder Elon Musk.

Anyone who follows the business world knows that Musk is more than a bit of a character. He has divorced the same woman twice, and he genuinely believes that the day when machines rebel against humans will be here sooner than we think.

So it’s no surprise that Ashlee Vance, author of the book — called “Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX and the Quest for a Fantastic Future” — was able to gather some great quotes. So great, in fact, that the Washington Post put together a list of the best. Here are a few we really loved:

Ex-wife Justine Musk: “I do think of him as the Terminator. He locks his gaze on to something and says, ‘It shall be mine.’ Bit by bit, he won me over.”

Google CEO Larry Page: “He’s kind of homeless, which I think is sort of funny. He’ll e-mail and say, ‘I don’t know where to stay tonight. Can I come over?’ I haven’t given him a key or anything yet.”

Musk himself: “My mentality is that of a samurai. I would rather commit seppuku than fail.”

Christie Nicholson, daughter of an advisor: “One night he told me, ‘If there was a way that I could not eat, so I could work more, I would not eat. I wish there was a way to get nutrients without sitting down for a meal.’”

There’s also a story in the book where an anonymous Tesla employee quotes an e-mail from Musk chastising him for missing a company meeting for the birth of his child.

Read more of the insanity at the Washington Post’s website.
