Ford (F) announced today that the new version of the popular pickup truck has begun rolling off the production line in Dearborn, Mich. The new truck has been generating a lot of excitement, and Ford says that a record 250,000 people have built and priced a new truck using the automaker’s website.
The new F-150 is expected to be a significant sales driver for Ford. It is completely redesigned with smart vehicle technology and is the first truck in its class to have an aluminum-alloy body and bed.
Sales of the new F-150 will begin in 2015.
