Powa Technologies, a UK-based mobile payments company, has raised $76 million in its first round of Series A funding from an undisclosed investor (which TechCrunch identifies as Wellington Management). Powa Technologies CEO Dan Wagner previously had invested $20 million into the company. www.powa.com

SugarCRM, a Cupertino, Calif.-based provider of customer relationship management solutions, has raised $40 million in equity funding from Goldman Sachs. Piper Jaffray & Co. served as placement agent. The company previously raised over $78 million in equity and debt financing from New Enterprise Associates, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Walden International, Silicon Valley Bank and Gold Hill Capital.www.sugarcrm.com

Applied Proteomics
, a La Jolla, Calif.-based developer of a biomarker for colon cancer., has raised $28 million in Series C funding. Genting Berhad (Malaysia) led the round, and was joined by return backers Domain Associates and Vulcan Capital. www.appliedproteomics.com

Maginatics
, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of storage solutions for distributed enterprises, has raised $17 million in Series B funding. Intel Capital led the round, and was joined by WestSummit Capital, Comcast Ventures and return backers Atlantic Bridge and VMware. www.maginatics.com

Cloud Technology Partners
, a Boston-based provider of cloud-based enterprise transformation solutions, has raised $5 million in Series B funding led by Oak Investment Partners. www.cloudtp.com

Green Mountain Digital, maker of the Yonder photo/video sharing app focused on outdoor recreation, a Woodstock, Vt.-based, has raised $3.8 million in Series B funding from Monster Worldwide (NYSE: MWW), the Vermont Seed Capital fund and individual angels. www.greenmountaindigital.com

Collegefeed
, a crowdsourced social career marketplace for college students, has raised $1.8 million in a VC funding round led by Accel Partners. www.collegefeed.com

TrendKite, an Austin, Texas-based developer of predictive analytics for media mentions, has raised $1.2 million in Series A funding. Silverton Partners led the round, and was joined by DreamIt Ventures and individual angels. www.trendkite.com
