Defense.net, a Belmont, Calif.-based stealthy security startup, has raised $9.5 million in Series A funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The company’s founder, Barrett Lyon, previously founded both Prolexic and BitGravity. www.defense.net

ClearDATA Networks Inc., a Phoenix-based healthcare cloud computing platform and service provider, has raised $7 million in Series B funding from Norwest Venture Partners and Excel Venture Management. www.cleardata.net

Vee24, a Boston–based provider of live multimedia help solutions to brands, has raised $5.5 million in Series A funding. Data Point Capital led the round, with partner Scott Savitz taking a board seat. Point Judith Capital also participated.

UrbanBound, a Chicago-based online relocation platform for company employees, has raised $5 million in Series A funding. Grotech Ventures led the round, and was joined by StarVest Partners.www.urbanbound.com

Maxwell Health, an HR platform for managing benefits and promoting employee health, has raised $2 million in Series A funding. Tribeca Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by Lerer Ventures, Vaizra Investments, BoxGroup and TiE Angels.
