Actifio, a Waltham, Mass.-based protection and availability storage platform company, has raised $50 million in new VC funding. Technology Crossover Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers Andreessen Horowitz, ATV, Greylock Israel and North Bridge Venture Partners. The company previously raised around $37 million. www.actifio.com

Avedro Inc.,a Waltham, Mass.-based developer of ophthalmic medical devices, has raised $43 million in Series B funding. Abingworth led the round, and was joined by Third Point and return backers Prism VentureWorks, De Novo Ventures, Flagship Ventures, Aperture Ventures, SCP Vitalife Partners, Borealis Ventures and Echelon Ventures. www.avedro.com

Jumia, an African clone of Amazon.com that was founded by Rocket Internet, has raised €20 million in new funding from Summit Partners. www.jumia.com

OneSource Virtual, an Irving, Texas-based provider of business process cloud-sourcing services on the Workday platform, has raised $15 million in equity funding from Halyard Capital.www.onesourcevirtual.com

Basis Science Inc., maker of a wrist-based health tracker and online personal dashboar, has raised $11.5 million in Series B funding. Mayfield Fund led the round, and was joined by return backers DCM and Norwest Venture Partners. www.mybasis.com

Metaps Inc., a Tokyo-based Android monetization platform, has raised around $11 million in Series B funding led by Fidelity Growth Partners Japan. www.metaps.com

Bloomfire, an Austin, Texas-based provider of a cloud-based knowledge sharing platform, has raised $8 million in new VC funding from return backers Austin Ventures and Redpoint Ventures.www.bloomfire.com

Kilopass Technology Inc., a Santa Clara, Calif.-based provider of semiconductor logic non-volatile memory IP, has raised $8 million in equity funding from “a major consumer electronics licensee who wishes to remain anonymous until its own product launch.” www.kilopass.com

Clypd, a Cambridge, Mass.-based interactive television and video ad exchange, has raised $3.2 million in Series A funding. Data Point Capital and Atlas Venture co-led the round, and were joined by Freestyle Capital, Tribeca Venture Partners, Boston Seed Capital, and Transmedia Capital. www.clypd.com

Adcade
, a New York-basedmobile advertising startup, has raised over $1.5 million in seed funding led by ff Venture Capital. www.adcade.com

Discoverly, a San Francisco-based social enterprise tool developer, has raised $750,000 in seed funding. Backers include Atlas Venture, Bessemer Venture Partners, Great Oaks VC, Salesforce.com and individual angels. www.discover.ly
