Kyruus, a Boston-based big data startup for hospitals and health systems, has raised $11 million in Series B funding. Lux Capital led the round, and was joined by Fidelity Biosciences and return backers Venrock and Highland Capital Partners. www.kyruus.com

Jasper Wireless Inc., a Mountain View, Calif.-based connected device platform for machine-to-machine and consumer electronics, has raised $40 million in fifth-round funding, according to a regulatory filing. The company previously raised over $66 million from Benchmark Capital, Sequoia Capital, DAG Ventures, AllianceBernstein, Bridgescale Partners, Integral Capital Partners and Crescendo Ventures. www.jasperwireless.com

Labrys Biologics Inc., a San Francisco-based stealth startup, has secured around $14.6 million of a $31 million Series A round, according to a regulatory filing. Backers include InterWest Partners, Sofinnova Venture Partners and Canaan Partners. The company does not have a website.

The Fancy, a New York-based online style curator, has raised $6 million in new equity funding, according to a regulatory filing. The company previously announced a $26 million round in October, before which it had raised around $18 million. Backers include PPR, General Catalyst Partners and Allen & Company. www.thefancy.com

Cheezburger Network, a Seattle-based finder, creator and distributor of Internet memes, has raised $5 million in new VC funding. Existing backers include Foundry Group, Madrona Venture Group and Avalon Ventures. www.cheezburger.com

Venga, a Washington, D.C.-based guest management system for restaurants that leverages transaction data, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding. Backers include BR Venture Fund, the student-run VC fund at Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management. www.getvenga.com

GoBalto Inc., a San Francisco-based developer of cloud-based solutions for clinical trials, has raised $12 million in new VC funding. Singapore’s EDBI led the round, and was joined by Qualcomm Ventures and return backers investors Aberdare Ventures, West Health Investment Fund and founding CEO Jae Chung. www.gobalto.com

VictorOps, a Lafayette, Colo.-based vertical collaboration platform for development operations groups, has raised nearly $1.59 million in VC funding, according to a regulatory filing. Backers include Foundry Group and Tango. www.victorops.com
