Cloudera, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based developer and distributor of Hadoop distribution for enterprise customers, has raised $65 million in new VC funding. Accel Partners led the round, and was joined by Greylock Partners, Ignition Partners, In-Q-Tel, and Meritech Capital Partners. Cloudera now has raised around $140 million in total VC funding. AllThingsD reports that the round now values Cloudera at around $700 million. www.cloudera.com

Centric Software, a Campbell, Calif.-based provider of PLM software for retail and consumer goods companies, has raised $11.6 million in new Series C funding from return backers Oak Investment Partners and Masthead Venture Partners. The total round now stands at $19 million.www.centricsoftware.com

AppFirst, a New York-based provider of SaaS-based application management solutions, has raised $8.7 million in Series B funding from Safeguard Scientifics. The company previously raised $6.3 million from FirstMark Capital, First Round Capital and Javelin Partners. www.appfirst.com

Validity Sensors Inc., a San Jose, Calif.-based provider of identity authentication solutions, has raised an undisclosed amount of new Series E funding from Intel Capital. The entire round now stands at $22 million, including past participation from TeleSoft Partners, Qualcomm Ventures, VentureTech Alliance, Panorama Capital and Crosslink Capital. www.validityinc.com
