Cardioxyl Pharmaceuticals Inc., a Chapel Hill, N.C.-based developer of cardiovascular drugs, has raised $28 million in Series B funding. Orbimed Advisors led the round, and was joined by return backers New Enterprise Associates and The Aurora Funds. www.cardioxyl.com

Billtrust, a Hamilton, N.H.-based provider of outsourced billing services, has raised $25 million in new VC funding from Bain Capital Ventures. The company previously raised funding from Edison Venture Fund, Eckford Management and New York Angels. www.billtrust.com

DataSift, a San Francisco-based social data platform, has raised $15 million in Series B funding. Scale Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by Northgate Capital and Daher Capital.www.datasift.com

Base79, a London-based online video company that claims to manage the largest YouTube network in the EMEA region, has raised $10 million in new VC funding from The Chernin Group and return backer MMC Ventures. www.base79.com

Continuuity, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based big data application platform, has raised $10 million in Series A funding. Battery Ventures and Ignition Partners co-led the round, and were joined by Andreessen Horowitz, Data Collective and Amplify Partners. www.continuuity.com

Origami Logic Inc., a Menlo Park, Calif.-based self-service, visual marketing analytics platform, has raised $9.3 million in Series A funding from Accel Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners.www.origamilogic.com

PlayHaven, a San Francisco-based provider of relationship management and monetization solutions for mobile game developers, has raised $8 million in new VC funding. GGV Capital led the round, and was joined by return backers e.ventures, Tandem Entrepreneurs and individual angels. www.playhaven.com

Lekiosk, a European digital magazine platform, has raised $7.1 million in Series B funding from CM-CICand FSN PME CDC Enterprises. The company previously raised $3.8 million from French investment funds Sigma Gestion and Promelys, plus individual angels. www.lekiosk.com

OutboundEngine (f.k.a. Promo Labs) , an Austin, Texas-based provider of an automated marketing platform, has raised $1.6 million in Series A funding from Floodgate, Austin Ventures, Silverton Partners and Capital Factory. www.outboundengine.com

Miradore
, a Finland-based provider of automated IT and mobile device management services, has raised €1.2 million in new VC funding from firms like Inventure. www.miradore.com

360buy
, a Chinese ecommerce company, has raised around $400 million in new VC funding at a $7.3 billion valuation, according to local press reports. Ontario Teachers’ Pension Fund and the Tiger Global. Past backers have included Wal-Mart. www.360buy.com
