Intrexon Corp., a Blacksburg, Va.-based synthetic biology company, has agreed to acquire around a 48% stake in AquaBounty Technologies Inc. (AIM: ABTX), a Maynard, Mass.–based biotech company focused on increasing aquaculture productivity. The deal is valued at approximately $6 million in cash, with the shares coming from Linnaeus Capital Partners.
