Foundation Medicine, a Cambridge, Mass.-based developer of genomics-based cancer diagnostic tests, has raised $42.5 million in Series B funding. Deerfield Management Co., Casdin Capital, Redmile Group, Roche Venture Fund and WuXi Corporate Venture Fund were joined by return backers Third Rock Ventures, Google Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. www.foundationmedicine.com

MyoKardia Inc., a San Francisco–based developer of treatments for genetic cardiovascular disease, has raised $38 million in Series A funding from Third Rock Ventures. www.myokardia.com

Torax Medical, a Shoreview, Minn.-based developer of minimally-invasive treatments for digestive, incontinence and obesity disorders, has raised $30 million in Series D funding. Piper Jaffray Merchant Banking led the round, and was joined by Sanderling Ventures, Thomas, McNerney & Partners, Accuitive Medical Ventures, Kaiser Permanente and Mayo Medical Ventures. www.toraxmedical.com

Selexys Pharmaceuticals Corp., an Oklahoma City-based developer of drugs for treating inflammation, thrombosis and metastasis, has raised $23 million in Series A funding led by MPM Capital. Selexys also announced that it has entered an agreement with Novartis Pharmaceuticals, whereby Novartis has a future option to buy Selexys for upwards of $665 million. www.selexys.com

Mobli Inc., a New York-based real-time visual media platform, has raised $22 million in second-round funding from Kenges Rakishev and return backer Leonardo DiCaprio. www.mobli.com

Laser Light Engines Inc., a Salem, N.H.-based provider of laser illumination solutions for high brightness digital projection, has raised $15 million in third-round funding. No investor information was disclosed, although past backers include Braemar Energy Ventures, Harris & Harris Group Inc. and Imax Corp. www.laserlightengines.com

MoPub, a New York-based ad server and exchange for smartphone app publishers, has raised $12 million in Series B funding. Jafco Ventures led the round, and was joined by Iris Capital and return backers Accel Partners and Harrison Metal Capital. www.mopub.com

Blinq Networks Inc., a Plano, Texas-based provider of backhaul wireless solutions, has raised $10 million in new VC funding. Backers include BDC Venture Capital, New Venture Partners and Summerhill Venture Partners. www.blinqnetworks.com

Skylight Healthcare Systems, a San Diego-based provider of interactive patient systems, has raised $5 million in Series D funding from Duchossois Capital Partners. www.skylight.com

Provista Diagnostics Inc., a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based provider of oncology-based diagnostic tests and clinical laboratory services, has raised $2.5 million in new Series A funding. No investor information was disclosed. The company’s total Series A round now stands at $7.5 million, including earlier closed in February and March. www.provistadx.com

Flash Valet, an Austin, Texas-based maker of cloud-based software that streamlines operations for parking providers, has raised $1.25 million in Series A funding. Trellis Partners led the round, and was joined by Austin Ventures, G51 Capital, and 186K Ventures. www.flashvalet.com

G1 Therapeutics, a Chapel Hill, N.C.-based developer of small molecules for use in cancer therapy and biodefense applications, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Hatteras Venture Partners. www.g1therapeutics.com
