Brambles Ltd., an Australian pallet maker, said that it will not sell its $2 billion Recall Information unit due to market uncertainty.

MoneySupermarketGroup.com (LSE: MONY) has agreed to acquire MoneySavingExpert.com, a UK-based online provider of personal finance advice, for up to £87 million. www.moneysavingexpert.com

Soros Fund Management has received regulatory approval to acquire Brazilian pay-TV company Sunrise Telecomunicaçoes for a reported $500 million. The move comes ahead of a major auction of Brazilian broadcast frequencies.

Bridges Ventures has retained McQueen Ltd. to manage the sale of British fitness center chain The Gym Group for more than £100 million, according to the Independent.

Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) has confirmed reports that it plans to buy Buddy Media, a New York–based provider of social media management software. The deal is valued at around $689 million in cash and stock, and will close next quarter. Buddy Media has raised around $90 million in VC funding from firms like Bay Partners, GGV Capital, Institutional Venture Partners and Insight Venture Partners.www.buddymedia.com

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) has agreed to acquire Hughes Telematics Inc. (OTC BB: HUTC) for $612 million, or $12 per share, in cash. Sellers include Apollo Global Management. Hughes is an Atlanta-based provider of real-time voice and data communications services and applications for use in vehicles. www.verizon.com

Wellpoint Inc. (NYSE: WLP) has agreed to acquire 1-800 Contacts, a Draper, Utah-based provider of contact lenses and related products, according to the WSJ. The deal is valued at nearly $800 million.Fenway Partners is the primary seller. www.1800contacts.com

Zillow Inc. (Nasdaq: Z) has completed its previously-announced $40 million cash acquisition ofRentJuice Corp., a San Francisco-based online real-time data platform for real estate professionals. RentJuice had raised around in VC funding from Highland Capital Partners, NextView Ventures and Tim Draper. www.rentjuice.com
