Bridgepoint has hired Morgan Stanley to advise on the sale of Aenova, a German maker of vitamins and generic prescription drugs, according to Reuters. The asking price is reported to be around €400 million.www.aenova.de



Catterton Partners has agreed to sell MonoSol LLC, a Merrillville, Ind.–based manufacturer of water-soluble films used in consumer applications, to Japan’s Kuraray Co. Ltd. (Tokyo: 3405). No financial terms were disclosed. www.monosol.com

EMC (NYSE: EMC) has acquired Syncplicity Inc., a Menlo Park, Calif.-based provider of cloud-based file management solutions. No financial terms were disclosed. Syncplicity had raised a small amount of VC funding from True Ventures and individual angels. www.emc.com

The Riverside Company has sold MK Chimney Systems, a Polish maker of chimney systems, liners and related products, to France-based Isotip-Joncoux Group. No financial terms were disclosed.www.riversidecompany.com

Silicon Laboratories Inc. (Nasdaq SLAB) has agreed to acquire Ember Corp., a Boston-based developer of 2.4 wireless mesh networking solutions for smart energy, connected home, security, lighting and other applications. The deal is valued at $72 million, plus possible earnouts. Ember Corp. had raised around $89 million in VC funding from Chevron Technology Ventures, Stata Venture Partners, Polaris Venture Partners, GrandBanks Capital, RRE Ventures, Vulcan Capital, DFJ ePlanet Ventures, New Atlantic Ventures and WestLB Mellon Asset Management. It also secured a $5 million in venture debt two years ago from Wellington Financial. www.ember.com

CME Group has dropped out of the bidding for The London Metal Exchange, according to Reuters. Remaining bidders include InterContinental Exchange and Hong Kong Exchange, in a deal that could be valued at around $1.6 billion. www.lme.co.uk

Experian (LSE: EXPN) has acquired Conversen, a Bedford, Mass.–based provider of interaction management technologies. No financial terms were disclosed. The Jordan, Edmiston Group managed the sale process. www.experian.com

KB Financial Group has offered to buy ING Group’s South Korean life insurance unit for an undisclosed amount.

Shaw Group (NYSE: SHAW) has sold its energy and chemicals unit to French oilfield services companyTechnip for $300 million. www.shawgrp.com

Weplay, a New York-based social media network for youth sports, has acquired the assets of Fastpoint Games, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based fantasy sports platform. No financial terms were disclosed. Weplay has raised around $13 million in VC funding from FirsMark Capital, Deep Fork Advisors and angel investors like LeBron James and Derek Jeter. Fastpoint backers include Allen & Co., Mission Ventures, DFJ Dragon and Sports Capital Partners. www.weplay.com
