Boathouse Capital and Renovus Capital Partners have acquired Atomic Learning Inc. from Granite Equity Partners. No overall pricing terms were disclosed, except that Boathouse and Renovus invested $19 million in equity and subordinated debt, while M&I Bank provided senior financing. Atomic Learning is a Little Falls, Minn.-based online provider of subscription-based software instruction and professional development solutions for educational institutions. www.atomiclearning.com

The Cambrian Group, a British portfolio company of GI Partners, has acquired Signpost Children’s Services, a UK-based provider of residential care for deaf children and young adults with additional complex needs. No financial terms were disclosed. www.cambriangroup.com

China Cord Blood Corp. (NYSE: CO) has raised $65 million in convertible note funding from Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. The deal represents around a 24% stake in CCB, on a fully-diluted basis. www.kkr.com

Comvest Group and Wynnchurch Capital have acquired the assets of U.S. Pipe, a Birmingham, Ala.-based manufacturer of ductile iron pipe products, fittings and joint restraints used in drinking water and wastewater systems, from Mueller Water Products Inc. (NYSE:MWA). No financial terms were disclosed. www.comvest.com

Industrial Growth Partners has acquired Cambridge International Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.-based maker of custom-built conveyor belts and related woven metal mesh solutions, from Sterling Investment Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. Harris Williams & Co. managed the process. www.cambridge-intl.com

Source Capital has acquired a majority stake in Sun and Skin Care Research Inc., a Cocoa, Fla.-based maker of branded and private label sun-care products. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal, which was done in partnership with company management. www.opotion.com

Oaktree Capital Management, a debt-focused alternative asset manager, raised around $378 million in its IPO. The company priced 8.8 million shares at $43 per unit, compared to original plans to offer 11.25 million units at between $43 and $46 each. It will trade on the NYSE under ticker symbol OAK, while Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley served as co-lead underwriters. www.oaktreecapital.com
