A Delaware court has denied a request to block Tokio Marine’s proposed $2.7 billion acquisition of U.S. insurance company Delphi Financial Group (NYSE: DFG).

Atlassian, an Australian provider of software for streamlining product development, has acquiredHipChat, a San Francisco–based hosted private chat service for companies and teams. No financial terms were disclosed. Atlassian has raised $60 million from Accel Partners, while HipChat backers included Founders Fund.

Big Fish Games, a Seattle-based online marketplace for casual games, has acquired mobile/social game developer Self Aware Games. No financial terms were disclosed. Big Fish Games has raised over $90 million in VC funding from firms like Balderton Capital, General Catalyst Partners and Salmon River Capital. www.bigfishgames.com

Chime Communications PLC (LSE: CHW) has acquire iLUKA, a provider of sporting events management solutions. The deal was valued at just over $39 million. www.chime.plc.uk

Connotate Inc., a New Brunswick, N.J.-based provider of solutions that help companies collect data and content from the Web, has acquired Fetch Technologies, an El Segundo, Calif.-based provider of enterprise data accessibility solutions. No financial terms were disclosed. Connotate has raised over $5 million in VC funding from .406 Ventures, while Fetch had secured over $4 million from individuals like Robert Sansom (Fore Systems co-founder), Sheldon Stone (Oaktree Capital Management co-founder) and Frank Baxter (chairman emeritus of Jefferies & Co.). www.fetch.com

HSBC has agreed to sell its general insurance unit to AXA Group and QBE Insurance Group (Australia) for $914 million in cash. The deal also includes possible earn-outs. www.hsbc.com

Deutsche Beteiligungs has acquired Spheros Management Holding from Baird Capital Partners andCapcellence for an undisclosed amount. Spheros is a Germany-based maker of air-conditioning systems, engine-independent heating systems, water pumps and roof hatches for buses.www.spheros.de

National Australia Bank is expected to put its UK bank assets up for sale, according to Reuters. The bank currently is in the midst of a review of UK operations, which is expected to conclude in May.

Domain Associates and Rusano, a VC firm backed by the Russian government, have signed an investment agreement under which they will “jointly invest in emerging life sciences technology companies, foster transfer of technology into Russia, and establish manufacturing facilities in Russia for production of advanced therapeutic products.” The two firms, along with co-investors, are expected to invest around $760 million through the partnership. www.domainvc.com
