Opera Software has acquired New York-based Mobile Theory Inc. for up to $50 million and London-based 4th Screen Advertising Ltd. for up to $14.5 million.

OZON, a Russian online retailer, has acquired Sapatu.ru, a Russian online shoe and accessories retailer. No financial terms were disclosed. OZON has raised over $120 million in VC funding from Baring Vostok Capital Partners, Index Ventures, Cisco Systems, ru-Net Hldings, Rakuten, HV Holtzbrinck Ventures and Alpha Associates. Saputo had raised around $20 million from Fast Lane Ventures, eVenture Capital Partners, Intel Capital and Kinnevik.

Carl Icahn wrote in a regulatory filing yesterday that CVR Energy Inc. (NYSE: CVI), a Sugar Land, Texas-based producer of ammonia and urea-ammonia nitrate, should put itself on the auction block. The company’s current market cap is around $2.4 billion. www.cvrenergy.com
