Elance, a Mountain View, Calif.-based online marketplace for freelance workers and projects, has raised $16 million in new VC funding. The Stripes Group led the round, and was joined by return backers New Enterprise Associates and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. The company previously raised around $62 million in VC funding. www.elance.com

TrustE, a San Francisco-based provider of privacy management solutions, has raised $15 million in Series C funding. Baseline Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers Accel Partners, DAG Ventures and Jafco Ventures. www.truste.com

Polyvore, a Mountain View, Calif.-based online fashion community site, has raised $14 million in Series C funding. DAG Ventures led the round, and was joined by Goldman Sachs, Vivi Nevo and return backers Benchmark Capital and Matrix Partners. www.polyvore.com

Bluefin Labs, a Cambridge, Mass.-based provider of social TV analytics, has raised $12 million in Series B funding. Time Warner Investments led the round, and was joined by SoftBank Capital and return backers Redpoint Ventures and Lerer Ventures. www.bluefinlabs.com

Fitbit, a San Francisco-based developer of web-based fitness tracking technologies, has raised $12 million in Series C funding. Return backers include Foundry Group, SoftTech VC, True Ventures and Felicis Ventures. www.fitbit.com

Finsphere Corp., a Bellevue, Wash.-based provider of identity analytics, has raised $11.3 million in new VC funding led by Vodafone Ventures. www.finsphere.com

AirXpanders Inc., a Palo Alto, Calif.-based developer of technologies for patients who require tissue expansion for breast reconstruction surgery, has raised $10 million in Series D funding. Vivo Ventures led the round with a $7 million investment, and was joined by return backers GBS Venture Partners, Prolog Ventures, Heron Capital and WTI. www.airxpanders.com

Polar Mobile, a Toronto-based provider of a digital media distribution platform, has raised $6 million in new VC funding. Georgian Partners led the round, and was joined by Ontario Venture Capital Fund. www.polarmobile.com

LaunchPoint, a Rolling Meadows, Ill.- based provider of enterprise business solutions and services, has raised $3.5 million in Series B funding. No investor information was disclosed. www.launchpoint.com
